About DSI:
Dynamic Standards International

Dynamic Standards International Limited (DSI) is a not-for-profit, global standards development organization which develops certifiable ‘dynamic standards’ that pace with fast-evolving landscapes. By working closely with its partners, its dynamic standards are designed and updated annually by a representative steering committee of experts from the key organizations across the public and private sectors globally.

Our Mission

Developing guidelines for SMBs that are agile, adaptable and accessible.

Our Mission

We believe that the current standards are too hard and too expensive for SMBs, the bulk of the economy, to certify or benchmark against. Hence, our mission is to create affordable, industry-led dynamic standards that empower organizations - especially SMBs - to kickstart a journey towards full cyber maturity on par with ISO/IEC 27001 best practices.

Be part of our mission

We achieve this approach through the paradigm shift of Dynamic Standards.

SMB1001 comprises five levels with each level building on the previous level. The standard also has controls spanning technology management, access control, backup and recovery, policies, and education and training.

SMB1001 incorporates the adoption of and compliance against multiple prominent internationally renowned standards and frameworks such as USA’s CMMC, UK’s Cyber Essentials, Singapore's Cyber Trustmark, and Australia’s Essential 8. A business certified against SMB1001 consequently complies with these standards - hence reducing the cost and governance load on small and medium sized businesses.

We believe in dynamic standards – SMB1001 is annually updated and review to ensure ongoing relevancy for SMBs.

Our annual update and review lifecycle is considerably shorter and more responsive than most standard development lifecycles. This review is conducted by our Steering Committee with oversight from our Standardisation and Certification Oversight Board.
